Poem: Dreams…

Lying in bed

The window open wide

Rays of gold from the lamps

Dance frenetically inside

The flow of a nearby river

Hums sweetly in my ear

As I stare at the ceiling

Filled with moonlight care

My eyelids drum against each other

Joining with the whispers of the wind

The stars blink with love for me

As the night begins to sing

Turning the canvas of darkness

To a heavenly scene

Whisking me away

To the land of dreams

Can I just say that…this is just soooooo calming I can feel myself drifting to dreamland…the magical vibe and words flowing smoothly like falling snow…woah it’s a really beautiful poem💝💝💝

  3. I love every line.. Your powerful use of imagery got me doing what you were saying in this poem. For example when I got to this line..

…..As I stare at the ceiling

    Filled with moonlight care

My eyelids drum against each other

I practically blinked my eyes severally which is in line with your description (eyelids Drum against each other)

    Also this line
…..The flow of a nearby river

    Hums sweetly in my ear

Creates a vivid imagery and I can’t help but imagine flowing river with the sound it makes when the water flow.

Thanks for sharing this amazing work!
