Soothing Smoothies and a book

It’s almost summer and for the past few days, It has been boiling weather! On a really hot day, what I enjoy the most is a cool, delightful drink to sip with a book.

So I give you, Soothing Smoothies and a book! 5 DELICIOUS and so super simple smoothie recipes.

1. Super strawberry and brilliant banana smoothie:

Time: 5 minutes

Makes: 1 large smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 Frozen banana
  • 1 cup strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1/2 a cup of unsweetened greek yogurt
  • 1 cup of unsweetened milk (nut, soy, animal)

Method:

Blend everything together until smooth, adding a splash more milk if the smoothie is too thick for your blender to process well. Enjoy right away.

I mean, how easy was that? 5 minutes, 4 ingredients = 1 scrumptious smoothie to savour!

2. Perfectly peanuty smoothie

Time: 5 minutes

Makes: 1 large smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 Frozen banana
  • 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup unsweetened milk (nut, soy, animal)

Method:

Same as the first one: Blend everything together until smooth, adding a splash more milk if the smoothie is too thick for your blender to process well.

If you like your smoothies cold, keep it in the fridge for half an hour, take it out, give it a quick mix and get slurping!

3. Goody Goody Greeny Easy Peasy Smoothie (try saying that three times fast!)

You guessed it guys, it’s full of good greens!

Time: 5 minutes

Makes: 1 large smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 a frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup green grapes
  • 1 kiwi, peeled
  • 1 cup baby spinach leaves
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1 cup unsweetened milk (nut, soy, animal)

Method:

Blend everything together until smooth, adding a splash more milk if the smoothie is too thick for your blender to process well.

Be good, and slurp down those greens, it’s not as bad as you think and cools up a treat if you leave it in the fridge for half an hour.
