Dear Indy….

Dear Indy,

Nearly a year has passed since I witnessed the earth envelope your lil furry body,

I cried

I thought life would end with you

But it didn’t

I will never forget the times when I used to brush you till your furry pelt was sleek

My fingers miss that

Never again will my gaze lock with your powerful green one

My eyes miss that

Never again will I hear your squeaky, hungry meows

My ears miss that

Never again will we take selfies together to pass the time

My smile misses that

Never again will I feel your black and white body rub against my toes

My feet miss that

Never again will I smell your fur, reeking of the outside world

My nose misses that

Never again will I feel you curled up my lap

My heart misses that…..

May you rest in peace, my dear friend, companion and comfort.

I leave with a cat shaped hole in my heart…

  1. Yes they are! I thought I’d never be happy again, but two months after his passing, I was gifted two more kittens! Lil Phoenix and Skye, they’re sweet and lovely, but Indy has a special place in my heart ❀️❀️❀️

  2. I understand completely. Last year we found out our youngest kitty has a terminal illness–FIP. Normally it’s fatal within a couple of months, but he’s almost to a year after his diagnosis! He’s so sweet and we’re so lucky to still have him. ❀

  3. Your cat must be in a peaceful place. Can well imagine your feeling as I have lost my dearest ones. And among them my Menoo was like a son. He used to sleep with me and at his last he was in my arms on my bed.

  4. Aww…rest in peace baby. Was ‘Indy’ a male or a female? I have lost many furry friends as well, a black male cat named ‘Muffin’ .But knowing that they are definitely in a better place now makes me feel at ease.
