Martyrs – A Poem…

Good men and women

Who die for a cause

They protest and fight

Till their life is paused

Under the earth they go

Under the earth they go

We respect their efforts and risks

And life lessons they used to show

The great things they used to say

Are our quotes over the days

Now they lay

Under earth and clay

And may

The martyrs be blessed

For their world changing ways

Why, they fought in these battles

For the future to be saved

We all should be grateful

For the parts they played

And the amazing structures they made

The cities they conquered

With the rivers where fish Wade

And We thank God

Because we know

Of their noble ways
