Thursday Poetry Competition – The Results!

Hi everyone, I hope you’re doing fabulous and here is the results of last week’s poetry competition!

Contestants had to write about Seasons, and we received a lot of awesome entries.

Now for the winner….

Mist laden emerald grass,
The sky crying tears, alas!!
Meadows dampened with rainy dew,
A tender breeze just blew,

Sunflowers glinting in the affable sunshine,
Chanting to the anonymous euphony just fine,
Birds fluttering to the benign tune,
Deer frisking in the paddocks, bushes strewn,

Enchanting blossoms grow everywhere,
Blissfully flourishing here and there,
Popping up out of the blue,
When you haven’t a clue,

The frolicking and romping spring,
Rapturous beauty, flowers, creatures and bling,
Trees sway to the forgotten springtime song,
For spring has been lost for so long,

Spring has escaped and long gone,
It’s time to rebirth the ebbing lawn,
Let us shake spring awake,
For it is yet too early to hibernate,

Upon these lands of heavenly Earth,
At last we can distinguish it’s veracious worth,
Before the deadly frost arrives,
Let’s summon spring to mend our lives.
