My art and illustrations!

Hi everyone, I hope you’re well and safe!

I’m passionate about writing and helping aspiring authors achieve their goals, but recently I’ve started going into illustrating as well and I’m really enjoying it.

Here are some of my paintings and illustrations! I hope you like them!

I painted the picture above on a canvas using acrylic paints. I recently started going into oil and watercolour paint, but I find acrylics the easiest to use.

Another acrylic painting! I love painting scenery and sunsets, but I thought I’d try something new. This is my first vase and roses painting. It took two hours…but I’m pretty happy with the result!

The girl’s face looks a bit weird…

As you can probably tell by now, blue is my favourite colour! It’s so pretty and calming and I purchase more blue paint than I use!

I actually did the one above yesterday evening. It’s one of my first watercolour paintings but I still prefer using acrylics. I used too much water at first but I dabbed it off with a tissue…because that’s what’s you do…right? The sky turned out nicer than I imagined though.

Here are some of my illustrations that I originally sketched on paper, then copied onto a drawing app and added more details and colours:

This is my latest one and my most detailed illustration. It took an hour and I love it!

This is…Merida from Disney’s Brave! If you don’t know who she is, don’t search her up because my drawing looks nothing like her. Some of the neck is missing, but let’s pretend it’s not. The hair is quite funky though…

My first illustration! I’m so happy with how this turned out!

As you can see, my illustrations are bright and have orange or reds in them and the girls have red hair. And if you read my future novels, there’s most likely a main character with fiery red hair and green eyes. Red hair is cool for fictional characters, don’t you agree?

On the strange topic of red hair, my debut novel which is coming out this year, is all about red-haired children who are the key to finding hidden treasure. I can’t wait for it to be published so you all can see what I’ve been working on!

If you have any questions about my novel, drop them in the comments section below!

I hope you like my paintings and illustrations! Keep an eye out for a special post this weekend, especially if you’re working on a children’s book…

From Sunday, I’ll be opening a services page on Penable with editing, book report, proofreading and illustrating services with discounts for debut authors!

Stay safe,
